Dear Community and Friends of Humane Society of Hobart,
Due to the "Shelter in Place" mandate for COVID-19, The Humane Society of Hobart will be working on an emergency only, animal control basis assisting the Lake Station and Hobart Police in emergency situations only. Adoptions are currently by appointment only. Please call (219) 942-0103 for an appointment. We are committed to caring for the animals in our current population and will be checking voicemail, email, and Facebook messages. If you lose your pet please call 219-942-0103 and report the date and time the pet went missing, a description of pet, the location from where the pet went missing, and pertinent contact information. Please post lost pet on lost and found pages immediately. If you find a lost pet please call 219-942-0103 or nonemergency police. Be advised it would be helpful if we could find the owner immediately. Please help locate the owner and ask neighbors since police may be overwhelmed by other circumstances. We are proud to work along their side.
Thank you for your support. We will continue our on our mission to build and strengthen pet families. #BeaLifesaver #projectpersevere.
